Here's the first of many long overdue updates concerning what's been going with TKO Records over the past 6 months, and what we've got in store for 2018. So not to waste any more time....
Summer of 2017, SoCal legends CHANNEL 3 (aka CH3) released "Put 'Em Up," their first LP of new material since 2002's self-titled album. "Put 'Em Up" is an excellent showing from this classic band that sees a stylistic return to queues from the twin influences of the CLASH and CHEAP TRICK, with lyrics addressing the everyday strife of life in modern America. With apologies to Joe Strummer, sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards....

OUT NOW: ANTiSEEN "HONOUR AMONG THIEVES" REISSUE LP
Recorded in 1985 and released in 1988 on Bona Fide / Chopper, this sole example of the short-lived 5-piece line-up remained an obscurity in the ANTiSEEN catalog, until it was reissued in as part of the original "Vault Of ANTiSEEN" series on TKO in 2002.
Now, after being out of print for nearly 15 years, we are proud to make this important piece of ANTiSEEN's legacy available again.
It's been repackaged, remastered and recut for vinyl, and dare we say, the 2017 version of "Honour Among Thieves" is the loudest and nastiest sounding version to date. ANTiSEEN fans both new and old will want to check it out. First pressing is limited to 500 copies on BLAZE ORANGE vinyl, and includes a 20" x 24" poster, the design of which was intended for 1988 release, but is seeing the light of day for the first time now!!!

ANTiSEEN - "The Complete DRASTIC Sessions" LP!!
For the ninth volume of the "Vault Of ANTiSEEN" reissue series, we travel back to the band's very first studio recording from November of 1984....
Remastered from the original analog 1/4" reel, "The Complete DRASTIC Sessions" captures ANTISEEN crawling out of the primordial ooze and taking the first steps of the trail that they continue to blaze TO THIS DAY.
Included in this release is the entire original "Drastic" EP, plus an additional seven tracks from the same session, most of which are, prior to the is collection, previously unreleased.
This first edition of "The Complete DRASTIC Sessions" is limited to 500 copies on WHITE vinyl. Packaging includes line notes from Jeff Clayton, previously unpublished band photos and some truly MIND-BENDING cover art by Jamie Vayda of LOUD COMIX.

The lost classic returns!!
Available for the first time on LP in over 25 years, TKO is bringing you POISON IDEA's seminal second LP from 1987 - "War All The Time."
Long a favorite of diehard PI fans, "War.." was a pivotal moment in POISON IDEA's evolution. With the addition of a second guitarist, and the debut of legendary powerhouse drummer Steve "THEE Slayer Hippie" Hanford, this album established the direction POISON IDEA would follow into the second decade of their career.
This one has been a long time coming folks, and with the full deluxe "Kings Of Punk" series reissue treatment, this version will prove to be well worth the wait. Stay tuned, more volumes in the KOP series are due to follow in 2017!!

POISON IDEA - "Latest Will And Testament" LP
TKO Records is delighted to FINALLY bring you Volume 4 of the POISON IDEA "Kings Of Punk" reissue series: the 10th Anniversary edition of "LatestWill & Testament."
This album was to be the final recordings of POISON IDEA's legendary guitarist Tom "Pig Champion" Roberts, and was originally released in Europe in early 2006, shortly after his death. This reissue is the first domestic release of this later period, lost P.I. classic.
It's widely agreed among P.I. fans that the original 2006 version clearly suffered from the unfortunate circumstance under which it was released. For this edition, Punk/Metal crossover wunderkind Joel Grind of TOXIC HOLOCAUST was given with the task of remixing the album from the master tapes. The end result is the presentation that "Latest Will..." was always meant to have: an album that now without question earns its place among the rest of POISON IDEA's powerful discography

Fresh off their 2016 European Tour, ANTiSEEN are back with this 12" 45 rpm EP of all new material! Limited to 500 copies, this release is available on an insane array of random colored vinyl, hand-mixed at the pressing plant by Mr. TKO himself.....NO TWO COPIES ARE EXACTLY ALIKE!
Each 12" includes the "Ape City Stomp" comic book by LOUD COMIX artist Jamie Vanda, as well as a sticker and download card. It doesn't get more deluxe than this, folks... Least there be any doubt, ANTiSEEN is here to stay, but this record is going to be gone before you know it, so ORDER UP!!

CATCHING UP PART 1
Being that this blog hasn't been properly updated in nearly two years, we've got a little bit of catching up to do, dear readers! Please allow us to present the condensed version of what's been happening with TKO:

-At the end of 2014, TKO RECORDS founder and owner Mark Rainey moved with his family up to Portland, OR where he continues to operate the label.
-After taking over a year off from releasing any titles, TKO RECORDS became active again in mid-2016. Updates on the four titles released on TKO last year will follow in the coming days.

-So why was the TKO label largely inactive between the second half of 2015 and the first half of 2016, you ask?
The main reason was that Mark and his business partners were busy building out and then launching CASCADE RECORD PRESSING, a newly established vinyl pressing plant in Milwaukie, OR.

CASCADE is the first pressing plant in the state of Oregon, ever. It is also the first record pressing operation to be opened the Pacific Northwest in over 30 years, and the only plant operating in the region. The first records rolled off the press in June of 2015, and since that time, CASCADE has pressed close to 1 million 12" records for nearly 1,000 different titles.

It has been close to TWO YEARS since this blog has been updated, and being that 2017 will mark the 20th anniversary of TKO RECORDS, we figured it would be a good idea to get back into the habit of updating anyone who's still paying attention on what's going on with the label.

The Return Of ANTiSEEN (UPDATED w/ FALL TOUR DATES!!)

World Heavy Weight Champions Of Rock n' Roll ANTiSEEN have demolished any doubts as to whether the band will continue after the tragic death of guitarist and cofounder "Mighty" Joe Young. At the end of June, the band unveiled a new line-up of vocalist/founder Jeff Clayton, veteran member Sir Barry Hannibal, recent recruit drummer the Gooch, and stepping into the role of guitarist Mad Brother Ward. Brother Ward has a long history with ANTiSEEN as a friend and collaborator. With the annoucement, Ward spoke directly about his additude towards his new role in the band:
"It is my intention to honor the memory of Joe Young and the legacy of this band. It was his wish for the band to always continue. Speaking as a fan I know Joe Young was irreplaceable. His style and sound were integral. I don't see myself as "replacing" Joe. My effort is to try to pick up where he left off and emulate that style and sound - which is the sound of ANTiSEEN."

Since joining the band, Mad Brother Ward has also launched the NOISE FOR THE SAKE OF NOISE blog where he discusses the profound influence ANTiSEEN has had on him, and where he plans to chronical his ongoing adventures with the newest incarnation of band.

POISON IDEA: Scandinavia & Beyond (UPDATED w/ TOUR DATES)!!
Yes, POISON IDEA has been keeping busy this year. So what's next, you ask? Well, the band has unfortunately had to CANCEL their upcoming European tour, however the Scandinavian leg of the tour has been salvaged, and PI will be playing the following dates in August:

In the meantime, the band is continuing to work on new material for the new album, as well as coordinating with TKO on the next installment of the "Kings Of Punk" reissue series. Currently, production is wrapping up on a revamped version of "Darby Crash Rides Again: The Early Years" as well as the debut of volume 4 in the series, 1987's "War All The Time" LP. Further details will follow in the very near future...

JOE YOUNG 1960-2014: In Memoriam

TKO Records has lost a beloved family member.
On April 30, 2014 Joe Young, guitarist and co-founder of ANTiSEEN, suffered a fatal heart attack at his home in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had just returned from playing a string of dates with his band in the Midwest.
I realize that this tragic news has already received wide coverage in the international underground music press, but out of my deep love and respect for Joe, I feel the need to mark his passing on this page, late as it may be.
I first met Joe when TKO started working with ANTiSEEN in 2000, and I feel deeply honored and privledged to have had the opportunity to know this remarkable man, and to have collaborated with him on so many records and tours over the years. I am very proud that my record label is connected to Joe and his music.
Like the rest of Joe's friends, family and fans worldwide, I miss him terribly. And whenever I do, I put on an ANTiSEEN album and smile as I hear the primal growl of Joe's unmistakable guitar tone.

REISSUES & TOUR DATES
TKO is working on a few essential reissues that will be available in the very near future. Each band will be on tour in support of these repackaged classics!
The reissue of Poison Idea's mid-80's masterpiece Kings of Punk is due out soon. The new edition will feature a remastered version of the album and deluxe packaging that includes expanded liner notes, previously unpublished photos, a poster and a bonus live 12" of soundboard recordings from '84-'86: The works!
TKO welcomes Giuda to the family, reissuing their debut album "Racey Roller". If you are unfamiliar with the band, they seamlessly interweave the glam stylings of bands like Slade or The Sweet with the energy of early UK pub rock to inject you with a blast of glitter-tinged proto-punk. Check out their video for "Number 10" and see them play in a town near you!
